A radio station's music schedule must follow format rules: proper track rotation, artist separation, time-of-day considerations. Building it manually takes time and makes it hard to enforce every rule. RADIO Rotator Pro generates playlists automatically based on configurable criteria: genre, artist, tempo, repetition intervals.
The software creates schedules for any time period with precise hour-fitting and ad block import from RADIO AdsMan Pro. Finished playlists export to RADIO Player Pro, Winamp, PowerGold, and Digiton. Requires a MySQL server and RADIO Base Pro database.
Key capabilities:
- Playlist templates. Create an unlimited number of templates for different music blocks. Morning drive, midday rotation, overnight — each gets its own rule set.
- Rotation criteria. Define conditions for each template: genre, artist, release year, tempo. Conditions combine into groups with arbitrary nesting — flexibility for complex formats.
- 24/7 broadcast grid. Weekly program clock with templates assigned to each hour of each day. The software knows which playlist to use Monday at 9 AM and which to use Saturday at 11 PM.
- Ad blocks. Create commercial breaks for specific dates or days of the week. The software accounts for them when fitting the playlist to the hour.
- Playlist generation. Automatic schedule creation for any period based on templates, broadcast grid, and ad blocks. Build a month's worth of playlists in one click.
- Format export. Playlists save to RADIO Player Pro, Winamp, PowerGold, Digiton, and other systems. Transfer to your automation without manual data entry.
- Ad import. Load finished ad blocks from RADIO AdsMan Pro. Music and advertising in a unified schedule — the programs exchange data directly.
- Hour-fitting. Automatic track selection to fill the broadcast hour precisely, accounting for commercial breaks and jingles. Programming runs without gaps or overlaps.
- Rotation history. Track playback history to control repetition. The same song won't air twice in a row, minimum intervals between plays are enforced.
- RADIO Base Pro integration. Direct access to your music library and track metadata when building schedules. Update tags in Base Pro — Rotator sees the changes.
