A radio station with tens of thousands of tracks faces a search problem: finding the right song by artist, genre, or release year manually takes time. RADIO Base Pro is a centralized database with tag-based search, custom categories, and flexible filters. Add a folder of files — the software extracts metadata from tags automatically.
The database runs on a MySQL server, enabling multi-user network access. Multiple staff members work with the same library simultaneously: the music director builds the catalog, a host searches for a track for airplay, the audio engineer edits tags.
Key capabilities:
- Server-based database. Create a database on a local machine or a network MySQL server. Access from any computer in the studio.
- Remote database connections. Work with databases on local and remote machines. Built a playlist at home — came to the studio and continued from the same point.
- Multi-user mode. Multiple people work with the same database simultaneously. Changes sync automatically.
- Tree structure. Organize your library by genre, show, year, or any other criteria. Logical navigation through the catalog.
- Auto-import tags. Add files and folders with metadata extraction from ID3 tags in MP3 files. Title, artist, album, year — everything pulls in automatically.
- Tag editing. Modify file properties and ID3 tags directly in the application. Fixed a typo in the artist name — the tag in the file updates.
- Batch editing. Change properties for a group of files at once. Updated the genre for 100 tracks — one click.
- Built-in player. Preview tracks without leaving the application. Checked quality — added to playlist.
- Flexible search. Search by title, artist, genre, year, BPM, and other parameters. Results filter in real time.
- Search templates. Save frequently used queries for repeated use. Search for "80s rock" every day — save the template.
- Backup and restore. Create database backups and restore from them. Protection from data loss on server or disk failure.
- Drag-and-drop. Drag files from your file manager into the database and from the database into RADIO Player Pro. Direct data exchange between applications.
